Asia dominates in Denmark before arriving in Rennes

The Asian continent dominated the Denmark Open finals across all categories. Only two Europeans made it to the third step of the podium in the men's singles: Olympic champion Viktor Axelsen (No. 31, Denmark) and French champion Alex Lanier (No. 7).

CHRISTIE confirms, AN Se Young leads

After winning the Korea Open two weeks ago, the Indonesian Jonatan Christie (No. 6) followed up with another victory in Denmark, defeating recent world champion Shi Yuqi (No. 1, China) in three sets: 13/21 21/15 21/15.

In the women's competition, South Korea's AN Se Young (No. 1) dominated China's new young star WANG Zhi Yi (No. 2) in two sets. Experience made the difference, with the South Korean winning 21/5 24/22.

Korea and China dominate doubles, Japan saves honour

In the women's doubles, in an all-Korean final, former world No. 1s BAEK Ha Na and LEE So Hee (No. 7) ultimately prevailed over their compatriots KIM and KONG (No. 4) 15/21 21/14 21/15. 
In the mixed doubles, China saw two of its pairs compete for the title. The pair FENG/HUANG (No. 2) won the final comfortably 21/13 21/9 against their rivals and compatriots JIANG/WEI (No. 1). 
Japan won the last final of the day with the pair HOKI/KOBAYASHI (No. 10) defeating the Indonesians ALFIAN/FIKRI (No. 7) in the men's doubles: 21/18 15/21 21/19.

We will have the opportunity to see them all again this week at the Yonex IFB from 21 to 26 October in France, at the Glaz Arena in Rennes-Cesson-Sévigné.
